Mechanics Of The Game

Poker Three is played with just one deck of cards, which are shuffled after every hand, and is actually two games wrapped up into one. The player can choose to play either the 'Ante And Play' game or the 'Pair Plus', or both games together if they so wish. Players are allowed to vary the size of their bets on the Ante And Play and the Pair Plus.

In the Ante And Play game the player has to beat the dealer's hand to win. When they play the Pair Plus game the player simply has to achieve a minimum qualifying hand, of at least a pair, to realise a profit on their stake. The majority of players though will opt to play both bets at the same time, making for an exciting game, which can yield some great returns when the right hands come their way.

The hand rankings are the same as those you would get in poker, with the exception that a Straight in Poker Three is superior to a Flush. Playing a three card game with just one deck makes it mathematically easier to achieve a Flush than a Straight and so the strength of those two hands is reversed.
